Amololio 2025
Montefalco, on 18–19 and 25–26 October, hosts Amololio 2025, two special weekends dedicated to new olive oil and the charm of autumn in Umbria. The event celebrates the region’s olive-growing tradition and local culture through trekking among olive trees, tastings, exhibitions, concerts and cooking shows, blending nature, art and gastronomy.
The programme opens on Saturday 18 October with scenic hikes among the olive groves, followed by the inauguration of the photographic exhibition Visioni Oleocentriche 24 by Pier Paolo Metelli, hosted in the San Francesco Museum Complex.The day continues with the concert Salieri–Mozart: Truths and Lies, performed by the Orchestra of the Accademia Filarmonica Europea Santa Cecilia, and an apericena featuring new olive oil in the Cloister of Sant’Agostino.
On Sunday 19 October, visitors can enjoy walks among centuries-old olive trees, accompanied by live music and storytelling walks for children. The day will also include educational activities such as the pomological exhibition Olives in the Archive, curated by agronomist Angela Canale.
The second weekend will feature television chef Giorgione, leading cooking shows and family workshops. The programme also includes sensory tastings and experiences in local oil mills and wineries, dedicated to the olive oil and wines of Montefalco.
