Celebrations of the birth centenary of the famous artist from Città di Castello will end with "Alberto Burri: the Substance's Space – between Europe and Asia".

From 24 September 2016 to 6 January 2017, the ex-Tobacco Dryers in Città di Castello will host a wide range of the most significant trends of the contemporary art in the second post-war of the 20th century.

Beyond Burri, whose exhibition will include a selection of around 20 artworks ranging from tars to molds, from sacks to humps, from woods to combustions, from irons to plastics, from cretti to cellotex until the "black and gold", there will also be other big Masters protagonists of the 20th and 21st centuries: from Pollock to Fontana, from Leoncillo to Mirò, from Pistoletto to Dubuffet, just to name a few.

The exhibition will be completed by a photographic repertoire and a documentary of the historical juncture between 1947 and 1989, including data about artistic movements, billboards, leaflets, catalogues, publications, videos, movies, biographical cards, theoretical productions and other significant illustrative materials.
